Came in for gas. Little unclear how to get to gas dock, but when we arrived friendly faces greeted us. Told us to have a great day, but forgot one important piece of information. There is a house foundation straight out from the gas dock. Without that knowledge, as we were leaving our rudder hit the foundation and our boat took on water. Thanks to the kind service of a fellow boater we were towed to the dock. Were we paid $50 to have our boat lifted out of the water. The boat will need further repairs. This all could have been avoided if the foundation of the house was marked. I have heard from the staff that boaters often hit the foundation and many boats have been damaged because TVA will not mark the foundation of the home.
